MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
The SFV Jaycees is the premier leadership development organization for young professionals (aged 21-40) in the San Fernando Valley. Members realize benefits ranging from professional and personal development to social network building. A partial list of membership benefits is presented below.

APPLICATION/SELECTION PROCESS
The SFV Jaycees has established a comprehensive process for identifying and selecting the most exceptional leaders between 21 and 40 years of age.
Candidates are evaluated by the Chapter's Board of Directors, which aims to assemble a group of nominees that is diverse, geographically balanced and representative of a wide range of professions, talents and perspectives.
CRITERIA FOR MEMBERSHIP
Candidates are between 21 and 40 years of age at the time of nomination and have a recognized record of achievement and/or substantial leadership experience. Typically, a candidate would have 5-10 years of professional work experience and an interest in taking on a leadership role for the rest of his or her career; would have demonstrated a commitment to serve society at large through exceptional contributions; and would show a willingness to invest time and energy in the organization's purpose and activities.
CANDIDATE NOMINATION
All SFV Jaycees applicants must be nominated by a current SFV Jaycees member. Nomination forms can be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Eligible nominations should be submitted from nominators who are well acquainted with the applicant and can attest to his or her qualifications. Nominators do not need to collaborate with the applicant in putting forth the nomination package, neither do they need to keep the submission confidential. **Please note that only complete nomination packages will be considered by the Board of Directors.
NOMINATION PACKAGES
Nomination packages are complete when submitted with the following documents:
Optional information such as recent photo, citations, articles and dated newspaper clippings for the nominee may also be submitted.
APPLICANT NOTIFICATION
The Board of Directors meets monthly (on the first Tuesday of each month) and will review all complete nomination packages which have been submitted during the prior month. Nominees will be invited to join the SFV Jaycees upon review and approval from Board of Directors, within 24 hours of this meeting.
